Description of Institution: University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences has established a reputation for educational excellence. The institution creates graduates ready to excel in the field of health sciences through their two distinct divisions: The Division of First Professional Studies for those pursuing physical therapy and occupational therapy, and The Division of Post-Professional Studies for those who already have a professional qualifying degree and license.

Transitional DPT Program Mission Statement: The mission of the Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (t-DPT) is to develop leaders in physical therapy patient examination. evaluation, intervention and case management. Special focus is placed on the foundational sciences of anatomy and biomechanics, while enhancing the clinical reasoning and treatment skills of the student. Because this program is designed for physical therapists that work in clinical practice, it is expected that students will bring about positive improvements to the workplace as they progress through the program.

Programs/Degrees/Courses: The t-DPT degree offers an opportunity for certification in manual therapy, primary care, sports physical therapy and craniofacial therapy. Students can also take a clinical non-specialization track where you will select courses from the University catalog that will promote your professional development.
