Melanie Lomaglio
Ms. Lomaglio earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and her thesis based Master of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences (emphasis on neurological rehabilitation) at The University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her primary research examined lower extremity mechanical muscle properties in individuals with chronic stroke. She has presented portions of her work at both the national (APTA Combined Sections Meeting, 2005) and international levels (5th World Stroke Congress, 2004) and recently published in the journal Gait and Posture (2005;22:126-131).
Ms. Lomaglio is an assistant professor and teaches Neuromuscular I and III within the Doctoral Physical Therapy (DPT) program. She also co-developed and teaches Neuromuscular I for the online FLEX DPT curriculum.
Clinically her area of expertise is adult neuro-rehabilitation and she has practiced across the country from North Carolina to Hawaii to Washington State, and now Florida.
