Glenda Atkinson Winborn

Ms. Winborn is an Assistant Professor teaching in the area of neurorehabilitation. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy in 1981 from the University of Central Arkansas. Her Advanced Master’s degree in physical therapy with an emphasis in sports physical therapy was received in 1992 from the University of Central Arkansas also. She has taught at the University of Central Arkansas from 1988-1992 and at the University of Texas at El Paso from 2006-2007.

She received her board certification as a Clinical Specialist in Pediatrics in 1994 and became a Certified Wound Specialist (American Academy of Wound Management) in 1998. Ms. Winborn co-authored chapters in a textbook titled “Physical Management of Multiple Handicaps: A Professional Guide” in 1990 and has presented locally and nationally on a diverse range of topics in physical therapy and rehabilitation. She serves as a Group Leader for Hooked on Evidence of the APTA on the topic of congenital torticollis. Her areas of interest include neurorehabilitation of the adult and pediatric patient, acute care, wound care, and the management of congenital clubfoot deformity and torticollis.
