Julie Watson

Julie Watson

Ms. Watson joined the University of St. Augustine in July, 2009.  She teaches the Assistive Technology and Community Service course to occupational therapy students and co-teaches Skills and Procedures and Gerontology courses to occupational and physical therapy students.  She also guest lectures in the Biomechanics and Interventions course and has previously taught Administration and Management for Physical and Occupational Therapists online.

Ms. Watson earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park and her Master of Health Sciences at the University of Florida.  Currently she is exploring options for a Ph.D. in Health Education and Behavior from the University of Florida.

Clinically her experience is in outpatient orthopedics serving both adult and geriatric populations.  She also managed two outpatient and home health clinics that mainly served geriatric clients and has experience in outpatient and school based pediatrics.  Currently Ms. Watson practices part-time in outpatient and skilled nursing facility settings.
