Kathy Hagy

Kathy Hagy

Mrs. Hagy earned the prestigious National League for Nursing Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) status in 2009. She has been teaching nursing at the associate, bachelors and masters degree levels since 1981. Beginning her nursing career in 1971, Mrs. Hagy has worked in many areas of practice including her specialties of adult and pediatric trauma, neurology, orthopedic trauma and emergency and critical care nursing. In addition she has worked as a trauma flight nurse and a legal nurse consultant and expert witness. Mrs. Hagy is passionate about sports medicine and serves within the Jacksonville Jaguars organization.

Mrs. Hagy obtained her entry level nursing degree from RACC Penn State University. She earned her Masters of Science and Masters of Science in Nursing Degrees from the University of Phoenix (campus).
Currently she is a doctoral student at Northcentral University specializing in higher education, e-learning and technology.

In order to maintain her CNE status, Mrs. Hagy teaches at the University of Texas Arlington and Purdue University in BSN & MSN online nursing programs.  

Here at the University of St Augustine Mrs. Hagy serves as the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Rotation and Assistant Professor in the Orthopedic Physicians Assistant program. She currently teaches OPA Pharmacology, Professional Issues I and II, and Physiology Lab.
