Anna Edwards Ms. Edwards received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of California at San Francisco, a Masters of Business Administration from the Executive Management School of Business and a Master of Arts in Exercise Physiology from San Diego State University. Ms. Edwards has been a practicing physical therapist for over 30 years. She has clinical experience in a variety of settings: acute, ambulatory, rehabilitation, home health, psychiatric, school and private practice with pediatric, geriatric, orthopedic and neurology patient populations. She also has experience in health care management having managed Physical and Occupational Therapy Departments, a Motion Analysis Laboratory, and Pediatric Orthopedic Residency and Fellowship Programs. Ms. Edwards specializes in pediatric physical therapy and continues to consult for early intervention programs and the evaluation and selection of assistive technology, power mobility, and augmentative communication systems for persons with Developmental Disabilities across the life course. At the University of St. Augustine, Ms. Edwards teaches Pediatric Physical Therapy and in Neuromuscular I. She is the POINT Lab Participant coordinator to provide students lab opportunities to work with pediatric and adult clients with neurologic issues.She has developed practice based clinical education programs for physical and occupational therapists and has served as a Clinical Instructor in many settings. Prior to the opening of the San Diego Campus, Ms. Edwards developed the liaison with the San Diego physical and occupational therapy community and was instrumental in the set up and development of the San Diego Campus. At the University of St. Augustine at San Diego, Ms. Edwards has worked as ACCE and taught all the clinical education courses. Currently continues to teach Internship I preparation and coordinated pediatric Internships. She has been active in national, state and local APTA activities serving as a California delegate to APTA House of Delegates, on the executive committee of the San Diego District and participating in multiple professional advocacy activities. She is a member of the Education, Pediatric, Orthopedic, Health Policy and Administrations, and Acute Care Sections.
