Kristen Johnson

Ms. Kristen M. Johnson graduated from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut in 1997 with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. She earned her Advanced Masters in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman's University, Houston, Texas in 2002. Ms. Johnson began her clinical work in neurorehabilitation and earned her certification in Neurodevelopmental Treatment Approach in 1998. She received her certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation, as sponsored by Emory University and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and is a Board Certified Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.

Ms. Johnson served as adjunct faculty at Texas Woman's University and San Diego Mesa College teaching vestibular and neurologic rehabilitation courses. She has also taught continuing education courses throughout the nation.

Ms. Johnson is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of St. Augustine at San Diego. Her teaching responsibilities are in the Neuromuscular courses and Clinical Neuroscience both on campus and online. She continues to supplement her teaching with being involved in the clinic as a blinded assessor for the L.E.A.P.S research study. Her specialty and research interests include patients with balance and vestibular disorders, and fall prevention.

She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association's Neurologic and Education sections, Vestibular Disorders Association, and San Diego County's Fall Prevention Task Force.
