Edward Kane Dr. Kane is a Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer and licensed Electromyographer. Dr. Kane obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (Zoology), a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Duke University, a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy and Diploma of Clinical Specialization in Musculoskeletal Disorders from the University of Southern California, and his PhD in Education/Sports Medicine from the University of Virginia. His Sports Medicine training has included the USC Football Team, the RAMS of the NFL when they were located in Los Angeles, and the University of Virginia Baseball Team. He has had numerous assignments with the US Olympic Committee, traveling with USA Baseball to the Pan Am Games in the Dominican Republic, the '96 Olympics in Atlanta, the US Bobsled and Skeleton teams in Calgary and Salt Lake City, as well as assignments to the USOC training facility at Lake Placid, NY. He is recently retired as Captain from the United States Navy. While on active duty one of his assignments was as Associate Professor of the U.S. Army Baylor University Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy and adjunct professor for the US Army Orthopaedic & Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship from Aug 2001 - Aug 2005. In addition he serves as a manuscript reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine, the Journal of Athletic Training, and the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics. Dr. Kane has obtained ABPTS Board Certification in both Sports Physical Therapy and Clinical Electrophysiology. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association's Sports, Electrophysiology and Education Sections.At the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences San Diego, Dr. Kane is the lead instructor for the entry-level courses: Applied Human Anatomy, Therapeutic Exercise I and Therapeutic Exercise II.
