The University of St. Augustine (USA) is once again pleased to be working with Sawtooth Development Group on the planning and design of the Austin Campus as they were also the construction developers for the USA campus in San Marcos, CA.

University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences Announces the Opening of a New Campus in Austin Texas
ST. AUGUSTINE, FL The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USA), one of the nation's largest private institutions for graduate studies in physical and occupational therapy, announces that it has commenced construction of its third campus located in the southwest area of Austin, TX.
The 80,000 square-foot campus will be built by Hardin Construction Company on 27.7 acres near the Circle C Ranch community. It will consist of two buildings that will house student centered learning classrooms, laboratories, research facilities, a library and indoor and outdoor student lounge areas. Included will be administration and office spaces, according to Sawtooth Development Group, who also built the University of St. Augustine's San Marcos, CA campus.
The Austin campus will be capable of educating approximately 500 students and will open in September of 2012. USA is now accepting applications for the first inaugural class which offer our on-campus fulltime degree program for students who are seeking to obtain their Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree (DPT).
USA President Wanda Nitsch states, "This is an exciting time for our University. We have been planning a Texas Campus for four years and are thrilled to see our progress. We hope to garner the successes we have experienced at our other campuses and apply this same focus on health professional education to our newest location in Austin. "
USA is excited to announce that Patricia M. King, PT, PhD, OCS, MTC will be the Director for the DPT Program. Dr. King has over 30 years of clinical and education experience and currently a member of the APTA's Manipulation Work Group.
The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences currently has campuses located in St. Augustine, FL and San Marcos, CA and offers graduate degrees for Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Occupational Therapy, Dual Degree Option and the Flexible Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. USA also offers transitional, post professional and continuing professional education programs for practicing therapists at these campuses.
