Application Processing

First-Professional Programs

Once your application has been processed, you will be notified by email by the admissions office staff.  The University receives a significant number of applications for each enrollment term so it is a good idea to apply early.

You will be notified by the admissions staff about any required documentation that is missing from your application.  It is important to submit all required documentation as quickly as possible to avoid delays in processing.  If there will be a delay in submitting any documentation, it is a good idea to contact the admissions office directly admissions@usa.edu to explain your situation.

An important part of application processing is the calculation of GPAs.  The admissions office staff will calculate a GPA based on the required prerequisite coursework that you have completed.  You should not have more than three prerequisite courses in progress at the time you apply.  If you have more than three in progress, you should plan to apply for the next enrollment term.  A GPA will also be calculated on your last 45 hours of coursework excluding internships, practicums, and other electives that are not considered applicable to health science education.
