Selection Process Overview

Selection Process Overview - First-Professional Programs:

After applications have been processed, the selection process begins.  The Admissions Committee reviews all applications including review of essays and statements of purpose, and recommendations.  The Committee will select qualified candidates for in-person interviews, which is the next step in the selection process.

Interviews are an integral part of the admissions process.  The interview provides additional information that the Admissions Committee will consider when making final selections.  Interviews are held on campus approximately two months after admissions due dates.

Following interviews, the Admissions Committee will make the final admissions decisions.

If you are admitted, you will receive an official acceptance letter and you must follow the required steps in a timely manner to secure your acceptance to the program.  Some candidates are added to the wait list or are denied admission.  If you are denied, you can reapply for a future enrollment term.  The University keeps transcripts and GRE score reports on file for three years but you must resubmit all other documentation with a new application and include information on what you have done to improve your qualifications.
