Registration Information

Seminar Description:

This seminar is designed to provide a detailed three-dimensional knowledge of the pelvis and perineum. It is primarily a hands-on dissection course with introductory lectures on the regions to be dissected. At the end of each day a panel discussion will relate clinical disorders to the anatomy and treatment.

Because this is a dissection course, the number of registrants is limited by the availability of specimens. The maximum number of registrants is 24.

Learning Outcomes:

At the completion of this course the therapist will be able to:

  • Identify the musculoskeletal, fascial, nervous, and vascular structures of the pelvis and perineum.
  • Visualize the three-dimensional relationship among structures and areas of the pelvis and perineum.
  • Relate clinical disorders to the anatomy of these regions.
  • Relate treatments to the anatomy of these regions.
  • Discuss possible mechanisms for producing the signs observed with disorders of the pelvis and perineum.
  • Discuss possible treatments of pelvic and perineal disorders relative to the anatomy.
