Professional Development - Continuing Professional Education


First Professional Programs

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
This program is to graduate students prepared to assist and direct the patient or client in achieving optimum function through the learned skills, clinical experience, diagnostic proficiency, ethical and behavioral standards.

Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT)
This program is to graduate students with an emphasis on the clinical reasoning skills necessary to analyze human occupation and to implement occupational therapy treatment that promotes quality of life for the clients whom they serve.

Dual Degree Option
USA provides a unique opportunity to become both a Physical and an Occupational Therapist. The most common track is to complete the Occupational Therapy program then continue an additional four semesters (1 year and 4 months) in the Physical Therapy program.

FLEX Program
This program will enable you to earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree by taking online coursework and attending clinical sessions in Boca Raton less than two weekends per month over a four-year period.

Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (t-DPT)
This program is designed for Physical Therapists that work in clinical practice and are interested in earning the degree of the future. This program promotes evidence-based practice and patient management skills. This program has option of completing solely on-line or in the seminar & assignment format.

Transitional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (t-OTD)
This program is designed for Occupational Therapists that work in clinical practice. It is expected that students will bring about positive improvements to the workplace as they progress through the program.

Professional Development

Clinical Fellowship
Fellowship is a supervised clinical learning experience designed to produce a master clinician in a specialized field. The fellowship offered is in manual therapy.
