Scholarship Programs

The University of St Augustine provides scholarships to new students enrolling in the entry-level residency programs.

Deadline Dates:

February 15th - Summer term
June 15th - Fall term
October 15th - Spring term

Outstanding Academic Achievement and Leadership Scholarship*

St. Augustine Campus - The University awards scholarships in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and leadership potential. The top applicant that meets the criteria from each of the three campus-based, entry-level programs - occupational therapy, physical therapy, and dual degree - will receive a $6,000 (per academic year) scholarship. The remaining recipients will receive a $2,000 (per academic year) award. Recipients must maintain a full course schedule and remain in good academic standing (3.0 GPA) each trimester to retain their scholarships. Scholarships are awarded to the entering students who best meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 3.5 GPA on program prerequisites
  • A one-page essay on "My Leadership or Life Experiences"
  • A review of references from their application indicating leadership potential
  • Minimum 1000 on the GRE (verbal and quantitative sections scores combined)

San Diego Campus - The University awards scholarships in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and leadership potential. The top applicant from the physical therapy degree program will receive a $6,000 (per academic year) scholarship. The second place receipient will receive a $2,000 (per academic year) award. Recipients must maintain a full course schedule and remain in good academic standing (3.0 GPA) each trimester to retain their scholarships. Scholarships are awarded to the entering students who best meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 3.5 GPA on program prerequisites
  • A one-page essay on "My Leadership or Life Experiences"
  • A review of references from their application indicating leadership potential
  • Minimum 1000 on the GRE (verbal and quantitative sections scores combined)

Boca Raton Campus - The University awards scholarships in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and leadership potential. The top applicant that meets the criteria from the flex physical therapy degree program will receive a $4,500 (per academic year) scholarship. Another recipient will receive a $1,500 (per academic year) award. Recipients must maintain a full course schedule and remain in good academic standing (3.0 GPA) each trimester to retain their scholarships. Scholarships are awarded to the entering students who best meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 3.5 GPA on program prerequisites
  • A one-page essay on "My Leadership or Life Experiences"
  • A review of references from their application indicating leadership potential
  • Minimum 1000 on the GRE (verbal and quantitative sections scores combined)

Financial Need Scholarship*

St. Augustine Campus - These scholarships are need-based students who would not be able to attend the University of St. Augustine due to financial constraints. The top applicant from each of the three campus-based, entry-level programs - occupational therapy, physical therapy, and dual degree - will receive a $4,000 (per academic year) scholarship. The other recipients, one from each program, will receive a $2,000.00 (per academic year) award. Recipients must maintain a full course schedule and remain in good academic standing (3.0 GPA) each trimester to retain their scholarships. Scholarships are awarded to the entering students who best meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on program prerequisites
  • A one-page essay on "Why I Feel I Should Be Awarded A Scholarship"
  • Review of references from their application
  • Minimum 1000 on the GRE (verbal and quantitative sections scores combined)
  • Evidence of financial need: determined by a review of a copy of most recent income tax return and a completed Financial Need Estimator form

San Diego Campus - These scholarships are need-based for students who would not be able to attend the University of St. Augustine due to financial constraints.   • Minimum 3.0 GPA on program prerequisites
  • A one-page essay on "Why I Feel I Should Be Awarded A Scholarship"
  • Review of references from their application
  • Minimum 1000 on the GRE (verbal and quantitative sections scores combined)
  • Evidence of financial need: determined by a review of a copy of most recent income tax return and a completed Financial Need Estimator form

The University Scholarship Committee will review the scholarship applications and supporting documentation, and notify students of their decisions.

The scholarships are open to all St. Augustine, Boca Raton and San Diego resident students.
