Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
Transfer Credit Policy

Academic graduate credits earned at other institutions may be used to satisfy certain degree requirements of the University, both for admission into the program, and continuance in the program.

Application for permission to use transfer credit should be made immediately after acceptance into the program. Official transcripts and course syllabi should be sent to the Program Director for review.

A maximum of five (5) credit hours may be transferred into the doctoral program. Credits previously applied to another degree program will not be accepted. A minimum grade of a B or more must have been earned in the course.

Students changing degree classification from within the University will have a degree audit completed and sent for review and approval. This audit will reflect what courses have been approved for transfer into the t-DPT program.

Courses completed in the t-DPT program will not transfer into the MHSc or DHSc programs.

For more information or if you have any questions about the program, please email t-dpt@usa.edu or call the Transitional DPT Department at 1-800-241-1027.
