Welcome Message from the President

The University is delighted to have you consider the educational opportunities made available by our faculty at our campus located in historic St. Augustine (the nation's oldest city) in northeast Florida, a second campus in Boca Raton, southeast Florida and our newest campus in San Diego, California. Additionally we teach seminars throughout the nation and our online offerings are throughout the world.

We have an active, highly qualified, and diverse academic community dedicated to graduating clinical practitioners with a relevance to today's health care delivery and marketplace. We are imbued to the philosophy that education is faculty driven, student focused, and relevant to patient and client needs.

The University consists of two distinctly separate divisions. The Division of First Professional Studies is for those wishing careers in physical therapy and occupational therapy, and the Division of Post-Professional Studies is for those who already have a qualifying professional degree and license in their respective profession and wish to advance their knowledge and skills.

On campus, we offer in the Division of First Professional Studies, the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) and the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). We also have a dual degree option whereby a student may earn both the MOT and DPT degrees. We have excellent classrooms and labs, as well as over 1,300 clinical sites around the nation from which you may choose for your internship experiences.

We offer two highly successful doctoral programs that enable a physical or occupational therapist who graduated with masters or bachelors degrees to upgrade that degree to the new entry level doctorate - the DPT or OTD. This upgrade is strictly considered to be a first professional degree.

In the Division of Post-Professional Studies, we offer five clinical certifications in areas ranging from Manual Therapy to Primary Care as well as two post-professional degrees, namely the Master of Health Science (MHSc), and the Doctor of Health Science (DHSc). The University is committed to on-line and web-based distance learning activities so that today's busy graduates can continue reaching their scholastic and clinical goals at a time and place convenient to them.

The University is well recognized internationally and has successfully conducted programs in destinations as far apart as Iceland, Chile, and Japan.

We look forward to greeting you on campus or on-line and to meeting your needs in health science education and practice. Please come visit us!
