The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) announced that the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program at the USAHS Miami campus has earned accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE). A team of evaluators conducted a comprehensive on-site review February 25-27, 2019 as part of the accreditation process. The Miami MOT joins several other occupational therapy programs that are ACOTE accredited at USAHS locations across the country.
“We are very pleased the MOT program in Miami has earned ACOTE accreditation for a 7 year period, which is the maximum number of years that can be offered during the initial accreditation cycle,” said Dr. Jose Rafols, OT Program Director for Miami and Professor of Occupational Therapy. “The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences is well-known nationally for our occupational therapy programs, which combine a rigorous curriculum, state-of-the-art facilities, career-centered learning technologies, and online learning.”
Located in Coral Gables, the USAHS Miami campus is over 55,000 square-feet at Douglas Entrance, a historic location within a short walking distance of Downtown Coral Gables’ Miracle Mile.
