Dear University Community,
In 2016, we have celebrated many accomplishments and milestones, both of our university and of our faculty and students, and I am pleased to announce two new advancements: First, I am proud to announce that we have gained all of the necessary approvals to launch our new Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program. Under the direction of Dr. Robin Dennison, our new graduate-level health science discipline will greatly add to our interprofessional educational opportunities.
Second, I am excited to announce that our fourth campus, located in Miami, officially opened in August with its inaugural cohort of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students. My congratulations to the entire university team who worked so hard to make this a reality.
I would also like to recognize all of our professors who work tirelessly to provide individualized quality instruction to our students. They are so passionate, not only about their professions, but also their desire to share their knowledge. I’ve heard stories, and have seen for myself, of our professors who work late into the night to grade papers, rewrite course material, and fulfill their own lifelong learning plans. Our faculty are the heart of what we do and I could not be prouder to work with such dedicated professionals.
A recent student comment proves my point:
“The teachers are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They care and are invested in students’ success.”
I wish to thank them for the work they do to support the university’s mission, and its reputation for quality academic programming. You are great!
