Cindy Syracuse is the Chief Marketing Officer at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She is an award-winning marketing executive with over 20 years of experience achieving aggressive growth for global retail and hospitality brands in marketing and agency environments.
Most recently, Cindy led strategic marketing for TGIF including advertising, promotions, social media, digital innovation, loyalty, culinary and beverage strategy, PR, and communications. She created the first in-house social team, expanded the loyalty program, created new bar and beverage partnerships and developed a new multi-channel media approach. Previously she was consulting as the Interim VP of Marketing Communications for Bob Evans, a family restaurant brand based in Columbus, Ohio. Cindy also served as SVP Group Account Director at Zimmerman Advertising where she led Ashley Furniture, White Castle, Firehouse Subs and Dunkin Donuts Local Marketing. While at Zimmerman, she was an Adjunct Professor for University of South Florida at the Zimmerman Communications School. After relocating to Dallas to join TGIF, she became an Adjunct Graduate Studies Professor at SMU Temerlin School of Advertising.
Cindy spent a large part of her career in Miami at Burger King where she launched award-winning new products, pioneered innovative promotions and introduced “The King” advertising icon. Her performance-driven marketing earned her industry recognition as “Event Marketer of The Year”. She was also named “Ad Age women to Watch” in 2002.
Cindy is a graduate of State University of New York at Oneonta where she majored in English and has a Masters Degree in Communications with a specialization in Hospitality and Public Relations from Florida International University in Miami.
