Jose Torres joined USAHS as Chief Financial Officer on April 2019 and is based in our Miami, Florida office. Jose has over 23 years of experience in public company accounting, financial planning & reporting, treasury, and audit.
Prior to joining USAHS, Jose served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at Maxar Technologies Inc. in Westminster, Colorado; a leading global provider of advanced space technology solutions, delivering end-to-end capabilities in satellites, robotics, Earth imagery, geospatial data, analytics and insights. During his tenure, he supported the merger and finance integration of DigitalGlobe and MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Corporate into Maxar.
Prior to Maxar, Jose was Vice President of Accounting, Financial Reporting and MIS for The ADT Corporation; the leader in home and business security solutions in North America. During his tenure at ADT, he led the optimization and simplification efforts of the controllership function, which resulted in the reduction in the month-end close processes, establishment of best practices, and implementation and leveraging of ADT’s finance systems. Prior to joining ADT, Jose held a number of roles with Tyco Int’l including North America Regional Assistant Controller, where he was instrumental in leading the Tyco’s finance transformation efforts which resulted in the establishment of an accounting shared service center in Boca Raton, FL. Prior roles include Corporate Controller for SimplexGrinnell (a Division of Tyco Int’l), Controller for optical retailer Sterling Vision and Assistant Treasurer at Safety Components International.
Jose started his career in New York as a public accountant with Arthur Andersen. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the states of New York, New Jersey and Florida. Jose has a BS in Accounting and Business Management from Boston College, and a MBA from Florida Atlantic University.
