University Announcement: New Dean, Digital Learning and Innovation
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Puzziferro is being promoted to Dean, Digital Learning and Innovation, effective immediately. In this critical leadership role, she will advance the University’s key strategies of innovation in health sciences education and exceptional digital learning experiences for students. Reporting to USAHS President and Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Puzziferro will oversee the digital design and development team and the Centers for Innovative Clinical Practice and Chair the Innovation Steering Committee.
Dr. Divina Grossman, PhD, RN, ARNP, FAAN was recently interviewed on nursing podcast “Nursing from Within with Elizabeth Scala.” Elizabeth Scala, MSN/MBA, RN, HNB-BC uses her podcast, as well as other nursing media outlets, to educate nurses on healthy work environments and prevent burnout in the nursing profession.
Dr. Grossman covered topics in her featured podcast that included: how self-regulation may be the answer to nursing burnout; what mentor-ship and professional networks can do for your nursing career growth; and why the best success comes when you harness the power of the team.
Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education and Assistant Professor for the DPT program in Miami, Dr. Arvie Vitente graduated from the APTA Education Leadership Institute on July 11, 2019. The graduates of the program in July were the eighth cohort of fellows from ELI, a program that provides developing and aspiring program directors in physical therapist and physical therapist assistant education programs with the skills and resources they need to be innovative, influential, and visionary leaders.
