CORONAVIRUS Update: USAHS plans a full return to campus for 2021 Fall Term courses and lab sessions. USAHS expects to resume all in-person classes and on-campus academic activities, such as regularly scheduled residencies, weekend labs and course intensives, with the September 7 Fall Term start.

Greg Heuer is the head freestyle athletic trainer for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association. He served in the same position at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. He previously served as the head athletic trainer for the Rapid City Rush of the Central Hockey League. While earning his master’s degree, he supported the women’s hockey and cheerleading teams at The Ohio State University.
Athletic Training Course Instruction As the creator of the International Athletic Training course, Heuer brings his experience traveling with elite athletes as the primary medical support across various countries during a training season. He shares his experience and expertise built through encountering medical emergencies and not being able to speak the native language. International rules of sport medical care and U.S. Olympic Committee medical care guidelines are interwoven through the delivery of this course, making it especially relevant for anyone who has considered working as an athletic trainer overseas.
