BACKGROUND
Dr. Joanne Laslovich graduated with a B.A. in Physical Education from California State University, Sacramento in 1977 and completed her B.S. in Physical Therapy at California State University, Fresno in 1979. She earned her master’s degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology from California State University, Fresno and her DPT from A.T. Still University – Arizona School of Health Sciences.
Dr. Laslovich has taught in physical therapy education since 1983 including academic appointments at California State University – Fresno, Maryville University – St. Louis, and the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences – San Marcos. She is currently an Associate Professor and Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education at the University of St. Augustine – San Marcos. Dr. Laslovich’s current teaching responsibilities include Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Physical Therapist Practice I, and Internships I and IV.
Dr. Laslovich is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and currently serving as a member of the Nominating Committee of the San Diego District. She is also a member of the Section on Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy, Section on Education and the Section on Geriatrics.
