Dr. Jodi Liphart teaches in the area of neuroscience and motor control and motor learning. Dr. Liphart previously served as an instructor and academic coordinator of clinical education at the University of Central Florida. She has nearly 30 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist. She’s held positions at Brooks Health System in Jacksonville; First Coast Rehabilitation in St. Augustine; HealthSouth Sea Pines Rehabilitation Hospital in Melbourne; Johnston Bowman Center for the Elderly at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois; and Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst, Illinois. She continues to practice physical therapy at Deborah Jackson Therapy Associates in St. Augustine, Florida.
Dr. Liphart has served in leadership positions on several committees at the university. Her research has been published in professional journals, including Clinical Rehabilitation, Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy, Orthopedic Practice Journal, and Pediatric Physical Therapy. She has presented research at conferences and meetings for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Florida Physical Therapy Association (FTPA), and Western Association of Schools & Colleges (WASC).
Dr. Liphart is a licensed physical therapist and a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy (NCS). She currently serves as secretary on the Board of Directors, and is a member of the Conference Programming Committee for the Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA).
