Dr. Layne has over 16 years of clinical experience in a variety of treatment settings including; Acute (ranging from small rural hospitals to Trauma I hospitals), Acute Rehab, Acute Psych, Outpatient, SNF, and LTAC, among others. She has worked with individuals with a wide range of diagnosis across the life span. Dr. Layne has served as lead orthopedic therapist in both Acute and Acute Rehab settings. She helped develop a non-pharmacological pain management program, and served as director of outpatient hand therapy clinics. In 2013 she received a breastfeeding specialist certification. Dr. Layne incorporated that into clinical practice in the hospital and in her community. She joined the contributing faculty of USA in 2014, and now teaches a variety of classes to entry level OT students full time.
