Dr. Rea has been an occupational therapist for 22 years, earning her initial degree at the University of Florida. She went on to earn her Master’s in Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University and earned her doctorate from the University of St. Augustine. She has worked in various settings specializing in physical dysfunction and rehabilitation, assistive technology, administration, program development, and teaching/learning. During her time in clinical practice, Dr. Rea served as Fieldwork Educator and mentor to occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant students.
Dr. Rea has been teaching continuing education since 1999 and formally entered into the academic community in 2013 as an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator. Most recently, she joined the University of St. Augustine Dallas team to serve as Academic Fieldwork Coodinator. Her current leadership roles focus on volunteerism with the American Occupational Therapy Association to support developing occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant educational programs.
