Dr. Fleisher worked in a variety of New York City Acute care and Rehabilitation Hospitals as well as out-patient orthopedic facilities for over a decade. In 1996 she moved to Jacksonville, Florida, with her family where she spent several years away from the clinic raising her sons. She returned to practice at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital in 2004 and continues to work there today. In 2018, Dr. Fleisher earned her transitional DPT from the University of St. Augustine for Health Science, while maintaining employment at BRH.
Her research experience includes years as a blinded assessor for the Nationally funded LEAPS study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2011. As a seasoned clinician and recent graduate of a rigorous doctoral program, Dr. Fleisher feels well suited to move into the teaching realm. She is excited to share her knowledge and experience with the next generation of physical therapists.
“I have loved each and every day I have worked with patients and am excited to work with students who have a desire to devote their professional lives as I have, guiding, educating and providing interventions to patients to improve their functional abilities after disease, dysfunction or injury.”
