BACKGROUND
Dr. Will Conrad graduated from Purdue University in 1995 with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Medical Dietetics and Nutrition/Fitness/Health. He attended the University of St. Augustine for his entry level physical therapy education and received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2004. After receiving his degree in physical therapy, Dr. Conrad practiced in the areas of outpatient orthopedics, acute care and home health only to realize that his true passion was teaching. Dr. Conrad has been employed by the University of Saint Augustine since 2006. In pursuit of more education, Dr. Conrad received an Advanced Masters Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with an Emphasis in Rehabilitation Science from California University of Pennsylvania in 2007.
Dr. Conrad holds the following advanced certifications: Manual Therapy through University of Saint Augustine (2005), Certified Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (2007) and Advanced Manipulation including Thrust Manipulation through the University of Saint Augustine (2007).
He is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Saint Augustine with teaching responsibilities in Anatomy Lab, Movement Physiology Lab, Therapeutic Exercise I, Massage, and Wellness. Dr. Conrad also teaches Massage and Cardiopulmonary PT for the University of Saint Augustine online FLEX program. In addition to teaching, Dr. Conrad enjoys treating patients at the outpatient orthopedic clinic on campus.
Dr. Conrad’s current research interests currently lie in the fields of gross anatomy and nutritional wellness.
Hobbies include: running, working out, the outdoors, scuba diving and spending time at the beach with his wife and chocolate lab Sampson.
