Nursing Faculty & Advisory Council
The MSN program at USAHS, was developed under the leadership of Program Director Robin Dennison, DNP, APRN, CCNS, CNE, NEA-BC and benefits from the guidance and direction of an experienced and highly qualified advisory council of nursing leaders, educators, and consultants.
Dr. Dennison oversees the nursing faculty at USAHS and is developing a team of health care and nursing leaders with doctoral level degrees and multiple years of clinical and educational experience. They tailor their coursework to the learning needs of students, providing USAHS with the agility to stay ahead of trends in the health care field, and our graduates with the tools and skills they need for success in an evolving field.
Dr. Dennison has extensive experience in critical care nursing, and has served as a staff nurse, nurse educator, clinical nurse specialist, consultant, and professor. She has been involved in planning and providing professional development programs throughout the United States and serves as an Educational Consultant at Baptist Health Lexington, a Magnet facility, in Lexington, KY.
Dr. Dennison has held teaching and leadership positions at University of Cincinnati, Georgetown University, and Chamberlain College of Nursing. She is certified as a critical care clinical nurse specialist (CCNS) by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), as a certified nurse educator (CNE) by the National League for Nursing (NLN), and as a nurse executive (NEA-BC) and nursing professional development specialist (RN-BC) by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Dr. Dennison is a frequent contributor to nursing journals and has authored four books.

Dr. Hill has expertise in health care leadership and nursing administration. She is the Chief Operating Officer for Baptist Health Lexington in Lexington, KY. She is the editor of the prestigious Journal of Nursing Administration.
Rose Gonzalez, PhD, RN
Dr. Gonzalez is a consultant with expertise in primary care, health policy, and cultural diversity. She resides in Albany, NY.
Douglas Turner, PhD, DNP, RN, CNE, NEA-BC
Dr. Turner has expertise in MSN and DNP nursing education, health policy, and advanced practice. He resides in Henderson, Nevada.
Carol Patton, Dr.PH, FNP-BC, CRNP, CNE
Dr. Patton has expertise in MSN and DNP nursing education, health care informatics, and advanced practice. She resides in Waynesburg, PA.
Paula Kimpton, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, CNOR
Dr. Kimpton has expertise in MSN and DNP nursing education, primary care, perioperative care, and advanced practice. She is an FNP in the Orthopedic department of the Dayton Veterans Administration Medical Center in Dayton, OH.
