CICP Leadership

This core team of USAHS leaders provides oversight for the Centers for Innovative Clinical Practice (CICP). These leaders are also members of the Innovation Steering Committee (ISC), which fosters innovative approaches to the curricular integration of educational technologies and the advancement of teaching excellence through new approaches and frameworks, such as simulation.

Dr. Elisabeth McGee

Sr. Director, Centers for Innovative Clinical Practice, St. Augustine

Elisabeth McGee, Ph.D., DPT, MOT, MTC, CHSE the Senior Director of Clinical Learning and Innovation and leads the Innovation and Technology Committee, the Centers for Innovative Clinical Practice, Pro Bono Clinics, and Faculty Development. Dr. McGee holds her PhD in Educational Technology and spearheads initiatives using advanced simulation technologies, telehealth, 3D printing, XR, and digital learning tools to enhance student learning outcomes.

Dr. Lindsey Johnston

Senior Manager of Simulation Education and Operations

Dr. Johnston served as a full-time physical therapy faculty at The University of St. Augustine for Health Science (USAHS) for five years prior to joining the USAHS Center for Innovative Clinical Practice (CICP) team as the Manager of Simulation Education and Operations. She currently assists in providing leadership and coordination for the integration of simulation approaches across the USAHS program curriculum, including interprofessional education initiatives. She works collaboratively with the CICIP team to develop educationally impactful simulation events using media-rich content that aligns with institutional, program, and course objectives.

Kevin Capell

Kevin Capell

Lead Clinical Simulation Specialist, TXAU

Kevin joins the University of St. Augustine Health Sciences with experience in a variety of different fields. He began his career in retail sales where he spent 25 years honing his skills in leadership, operational excellence, performance metrics, and process improvement. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas Tech University. Previously, he worked for the University of Arizona Bookstore as Inventory Control Manager where he participated in leading student-centered initiatives and mentoring students. He started his career at USAHS working on the Austin campus in the CICP as a standardized patient and simulation technician.
