The mission of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International is to support the learning, knowledge and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in health worldwide.
The vision of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International is to create a global community of nurses who lead in using knowledge, scholarship, service and learning to improve the health of the world’s people.
Preparing for the Future
The Meraki Nursing Honor Society hosted by the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences is an independent, local nursing honor society, located at our institution of higher education. We are preparing for application for official chapter status with Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. The STTI chapter approval process is lengthy and our Board of Directors is working diligently to meet all the requirements; we anticipate becoming a chapter by summer of 2020.
If approved to become an official chapter, the Meraki Nursing Honor Society members will be invited to become Charter Members of the new, official chapter and of STTI.
