Dr. Anas Ababneh is an Assistant Professor at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences Austin, TX campus, teaching in the Residential Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Dr. Ababneh obtained his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Hashemite University, Jordan in 2005. and a post-professional Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the New York Institute of Technology in 2008. Driven by a passion for advanced research and knowledge, he completed his Doctor of Education in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 2021.

Dr. Ababneh has been working in physical therapy since 2005 in various roles. As a clinician, he dedicated more than five years to providing care in diverse settings, including home health, hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. He also served as a lecturer at Aljouf University in Saudi Arabia for five years, teaching fundamental courses in the physical therapy program. Dr. Ababneh spent time working as a graduate assistant at Texas Woman’s University where he contributed to research projects and assisted in cardiovascular and pulmonary rehab labs.

His research focuses on cardiopulmonary rehab, which has been disseminated through peer-reviewed publications and presented at various national and international conferences. He is interested in telehealth in physical therapy and is keen on developing outcome measures tailored to this evolving realm.
