Dr. Catherine Patla and Dr. Eric Chaconas of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences Receive Awards from the Florida Physical Therapy Association
ST. AUGUSTINE, FL – The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USA), one of the nation’s largest private institutions for graduate studies in physical and occupational therapy, announces that Dr. Catherine Patla, PT and Dr. Eric Chaconas, PT have received two prestigious awards from the Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA).
Catherine Patla, PT, DHSc, MMSc, OCS, MTC, FAAOMPT was awarded the 2011 Fred M. Rutan Outstanding Service Award that is presented to a physical therapist who is or has been a member of the FPTA and has performed outstanding service to the profession of physical therapy within the state of Florida. Dr. Patla has made contributions of a truly outstanding nature and has demonstrated continued interest in and cooperation with the FPTA Chapter. She has been a dominant force in activities which have significantly affected the Chapter and its professional growth and development.
Eric Chaconas, PT, DPT, MTC, FAAOMPT was awarded the 2011 Rick Shutes Committee Service Award that is presented to a Physical Therapist who is or has been a member of the FPTA and has performed or provided exceptional service to or on behalf of the Florida Physical Therapy Association as either a committee chair or as a committee member.
