Clinical Placement Support

Leveraging our network of clinical partners, USAHS faculty and staff will guide and support you in securing a practicum placement near your community. These real-world experiences foster skill-building and professional practice competencies, getting you ready to make an impact in a dynamic field. The program works to secure externship placements within 75 miles of a student’s home address. If a placement is not available within this distance, students should plan for the possibility of travel or temporary relocation to meet clinical education requirements. Play Video

Our MS-SLP Program is Designed to Be Completed In

MS-SLP
1.8 Years Time to completion may vary by student, depending on individual progress, credits transferred and other factors.

Designed for students who are ready to make a full-time academic commitment from the start.

Due to the pace, students should be prepared for a consistent full-time schedule, with limited flexibility for outside work.

MS-SLP (Part-Time)
2.8 Years Time to completion may vary by student, depending on individual progress, credits transferred and other factors.

Designed for students who need a more manageable academic pace in the early part of the program —allowing greater flexibility for part-time work and personal responsibilities.

In the final three terms, all students transition into full-time clinical placements, requiring a daytime schedule and limiting outside work.

Our SLP Leveling Courses provide the foundation you need to meet prerequisites and pursue a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. These speech-language pathology courses bridge the gap to our hybrid online MS-SLP program, and the Preparatory Pathway helps students streamline the process and secure eligibility once all requirements are met. Complete the courses, stay on track and take the first step toward becoming a speech-language pathologist.
