Dr. Bansari Thakkar is a physical therapist with more than 15 years of clinical experience specializing in geriatric rehabilitation. She is a board-certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist, having integrated clinical expertise with rigorous inquiry into functional outcomes and aging-related impairments.

Dr. Thakkar earned a Doctor of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences, emphasizing research methodology, evidence synthesis, and the translation of scientific findings into clinical practice. Her scholarly interests include aging and mobility, fall risk reduction, chronic pain mechanisms, and innovative pedagogical approaches in physical therapy education.

Dr. Thakkar has disseminated her work through multiple peer-reviewed poster presentations at professional conferences and is actively engaged in ongoing IRB research projects.

She is dedicated to mentoring students, contributing to interprofessional scholarship, and promoting evidence-based, patient-centered care within the rehabilitation sciences.
