Dr. Eric Robertson is an experienced physical therapist, educator, and program builder with over 15 years in higher education. He currently serves as an associate professor, where he has led the development of innovative, distance-based and hybrid educational programs in physical therapy. His work focuses on advancing clinical reasoning, integrating health systems science into physical therapist education, and preparing clinicians to deliver high-value, evidence-informed care in modern healthcare environments. His clinical expertise is in orthopaedic manual physical therapy and he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.

Dr. Robertson brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to his teaching and leadership, combining clinical expertise with a background in the arts. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree and has taught university-level art courses, which informs his approach to creativity, communication, and curriculum design. His academic interests include primary care physical therapy, evidence implementation, and the role of emerging technologies — particularly artificial intelligence — in transforming education and clinical practice.

Dr. Robertson is known for his strengths in remote leadership, accreditation processes, and building programs from concept to implementation. He is passionate about reimagining physical therapist education for a more connected, technologically enabled future while maintaining a strong commitment to patient-centered care and professional excellence.
