2025 US Open Adaptive Surfing Championships RECAP – Sponsored by USAHS
Since 2019, the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) has partnered with the Stoke for Life Foundation to sponsor the US Open Adaptive Surfing Championships in Oceanside, California. The event brings adaptive surfers from around the world together to compete at the highest level of the sport.
USAHS students volunteer at the event, supporting athletes and helping with water safety. The experience also gives students an opportunity to put skills they’ve developed in their programs into practice in a setting outside the classroom.
The partnership brings USAHS students into the adaptive sports community while giving them a chance to support athletes, connect with people from different backgrounds, and gain practical experience.
