Dr. Khan-Farooqi serves as a Doctorate Capstone Coordinator at the USAHS Austin campus. She holds a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Washington University and a PhD in Education from Walden University.
Her scholarly and clinical interests center on the physical, psychosocial, and emotional well-being of women during pregnancy and the postpartum period, as well as women who are survivors and thrivers of breast cancer. She has completed specialized coursework in lymphedema, prenatal and postpartum exercise, and maternal mental health.
Dr. Khan-Farooqi currently teaches fitness exercise classes for pregnant and postpartum women and is on the board of Team Survivor Austin. Clinically she has worked with clients across the lifespan including pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients, primarily in an outpatient setting. She was previously a Certified Hand Therapist and held several leadership positions with the American Society of Hand Therapists including serving on the board as the Practice Division Director.
