An East Texas native, Dr. Adrian Bueno moved to Denton, Texas, in 2009 to pursue her undergraduate education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2014) and a Master of Occupational Therapy (2016) from Texas Woman’s University, as well as her post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (2026) from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Dr. Bueno has a longstanding passion for upper extremity rehabilitation and earned her Certified Hand Therapist credential in 2020. Her clinical experience includes pre- and post-operative care, custom orthotics, return-to-work rehabilitation, and patient advocacy across orthopedic and hand therapy settings.

Dr. Bueno joined the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences as a contributing faculty member in the summer of 2024, leading and assisting in courses within the OTD residential, OTD flex, and hybrid immersion programs. In her core faculty role, she remains committed to academic excellence, student mentorship, and the integration of evidence-informed, occupation-based practices across curricula. Her professional interests include occupation-based interventions, clinical reasoning, and delivery of high-quality, client-centered care.
