Dr. Blaise Bourgeois completed his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2015 before earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) in 2017. In 2018, he returned to USAHS to further his expertise in manual therapy to earn his Manual Therapy Certification (MTC). Currently, he is pursuing his Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy (ScD) at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, focusing on research related to therapeutic alliance and its impact on functional outcomes.

Before his academic journey, Dr. Bourgeois served as a professional firefighter in Lafayette, LA, for a decade. He practiced for five years in various outpatient orthopedic settings throughout Austin, TX. In 2022, Dr. Bourgeois established his private practice, BB Physiotherapy & Wellness, catering to the south Austin community. The practice offers in-clinic and mobile outpatient services, focusing on manual therapy and dry needling for various diagnoses and patient populations.

Dr. Bourgeois has been a contributing faculty member at USAHS since 2018 and transitioned to a full-time faculty role in 2023. He is involved in the musculoskeletal components teachings and contributes to the Administration and Management in Physical Therapy course.
