At a key transition point in their studies, occupational therapy students across all USAHS campuses participate in a meaningful ritual, witnessed by family and friends. The OT pinning ceremony marks the end of the classroom portion of their studies and the beginning of their fieldwork. For Residential MOT and OTD students, this happens in their fourth term, and for Flex, in the seventh term.

Dr. Cody Cox became a core faculty member in the Occupational Therapy program in 2017. She holds clinical experience in the areas of geriatrics, mental health, and student education. She has worked in rehabilitation, acute care, outpatient, and home health settings.
Dr. Cox most recently served as an occupational therapy assistant program director at South University in Richmond, Virginia, and Kaplan College in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the occupational therapy assistant program coordinator at Keiser University, West Palm Beach, as well as, core faculty at Keiser University, Fort Lauderdale.
Dr. Cox is registered as an occupational therapist by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
