Dr. Jaimee Perea Fielder is a registered occupational therapist, specializing in acquired brain injury and low vision rehabilitation with the adult population. She is certified as a low vision therapist, concentrating on neurological visual and perceptual impairments, and as an Advanced Practice Brain Injury Specialist/Trainer. Her passion for helping individuals regain a sense of life purpose and occupational engagement, combined with her enthusiasm for learning, research, and mentoring students and colleagues, led her to pursue a role in academia.

Dr. Fielder’s research interests include topics associated with acquired brain injury and low vision, rehabilitation and educational technologies, and teaching and learning in higher education. Her scholarly work spans both clinical and educational domains, with an emphasis on translating evidence into meaningful outcomes for clients, students, and practitioners.

Dr. Fielder joined the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences Occupational Therapy program as a contributing faculty in 2021 and transitioned to core faculty in 2023.
