Dr. Jessica Phung obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biophysics from the University of California San Diego and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS). Her clinical experience has been in various settings including inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient orthopedics, and in delivering concierge physical therapy care to adult populations.

She began her teaching career in 2020 as a contributing faculty member at USAHS and transitioned to her full-time faculty position in 2023.

Committed to mentoring and developing healthcare professionals in physical therapy, she has served as a volunteer speaker to middle- and high-school students discussing physical therapy career paths, as a credentialed clinical instructor for physical therapist and physical therapist assistant students, and as an active member of the California Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in various elected roles.

Dr. Phung is an advocate for community development and health education. She engages with non-profits regionally and internationally to improve healthcare access and provide physical therapy services to underserved populations, while promoting movement and healthy lifestyles in populations with chronic diseases and limited community access.
