Megann McGill, PhD, CCC-SLP is a certified bilingual (Spanish-English) speech-language pathologist with more than a decade of experience in clinical practice, research and student supervision. Clinically, she has worked in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, private practice, K-8 schools, home health and university clinics.

Dr. McGill’s research centers on the use of telepractice to reduce healthcare disparities between rural and urban populations. Her work explores how online service delivery models can improve access to high-quality speech-language pathology care for underserved communities, with a focus on culturally responsive and evidence-based practices. Her research, which has been published in the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology, Telemedicine and eHealth, and Journal of Fluency Disorders, provides evidence for conducting telepractice assessments and interventions, helping to ensure equitable care for individuals from diverse geographic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

In addition to her academic and clinical roles, Dr. McGill is deeply engaged in advocacy and community service. She was the 2024 Oregon Speech-Language and Hearing Association president and serves on the stewardship council and staff for Camp More in Oregon, a sleepaway summer camp for children and teens who stutter. Through these efforts, she promotes greater public awareness for the field of speech-language pathology in her community.

Dr. McGill is committed to teaching, mentoring and training the next generation of speech-language pathologists. She integrates science, art and clinical practice in her approach to education, fostering confidence and competence in her students as they prepare to enter the field.

She joined the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences faculty team in 2025.
