OT Dean’s Scholar
Scholars receive special recognition, scholarship award, access to research opportunities, and designated faculty mentors.
OT Dean's Scholar at a Glance
Value: up to $25,000 over the entire program
Program: Dean’s Scholars will have regular opportunities to interact with their Dean and faculty mentor to discuss topics such as coursework, clinical experiences, and career choices. They will be offered the possibility to explore professional development opportunities based on their area of focus, for example, in community service, advocacy, clinical excellence or leadership. They will also be invited to join the Dean’s Scholar Community Learning forum which will facilitate interprofessional discussions with Scholars from across the University’s five campuses in Florida, Texas, and California.
Applicable Programs: OT
Criteria: Undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.75 or above. Scholarship amounts vary based on cumulative GPA, term of entry, campus location, and the date of student’s admission application.
How to be considered: Complete your admissions application as early as possible. This scholarship is automatically awarded if qualifications are met. No separate scholarship application is required.
Notification: Newly admitted students will be automatically notified of their award along with notification of admission or shortly thereafter.
The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences is committed to academic excellence and creates an engaging environment for students who have demonstrated exceptional performance. Dean’s Scholars will have the opportunity to interact with their Dean and assigned mentor along with a national network of Dean’s Scholars throughout the University’s five campuses in California, Florida and Texas.
Dean’s Scholar awards range from $15,000-$25,000 for the program. Determining factors for the award amount include your undergraduate cumulative GPA and the timing of your admissions application. For priority consideration, please apply early. Award amounts also may vary by campus, term and program. Awards will be made as long as funds are available. The scholarship award is paid in equal trimester disbursements for the program duration. In addition, they will receive recognition through a scholarship award and a series of special acknowledgements including at Commencement.
