Back to the hardwood: a homecoming
She was a Franklin High School (FHS) basketball player from 2006 to 2010 and continued to shoot hoops at Delta College and UC San Diego.
Dr. Manlangit returns to her alma mater as the varsity girls basketball coach. Her former teammate, Monalisa Santos, also joins the FHS coaching staff. Together, they lend their unique perspective on life and the art of movement. The team aims to win the Delta League and advance to the playoffs.
Victory beyond the court
Post-graduation, Dr. Manlangit set her sights on other horizons. Driven by her experience of overcoming an ACL injury, she pursued physical therapy (PT). In 2019, she earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS).
In March 2022, she opened her practice, Lakás Physical Therapy, in Sacramento. Her mission is to help individuals become active again by regaining movement and confidence.
A dual dedication to players and patients
As a former athlete, she understands the physical and mental demands associated with sports participation. She can empathize with her PT clients and tailor her approach to meet their needs. Whether she is working to rehabilitate injured athletes or coaching players to reach their full potential, Dr. Manlangit brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to each endeavor.
