Dr. Sheri Montgomery brings more than 30 years of experience in pediatrics, school-based services, home health, and long-term care to her role at the university. During her career she has assessed and developed occupational therapy programs and trained staff. She has treated patients through her private practice, Therapy for You, Inc., since 1982. She previously served as an occupational therapist for the Uinta County School District in Mountain View, Wyoming, where she developed a new therapy program and treated school children as young as 5 years old. Dr. Montgomery’s experience includes positions at Alta Therapy in Evanston, Wyoming; Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah; and Mountain Regional Services, Inc., also in Evanston.
Dr. Montgomery is certified in Sensory Integration (SI) through Sensory Integration International and neuro-developmental treatment (NDT) through the Neuro-Developmental Treatment Association. She is an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and has held leadership positions on its Board of Directors for more than six years. She is also an active member of the Florida Occupational Therapy Association, Wyoming Occupational Therapy Association, and Utah Occupational Therapy Association.
